‘World War Hulk’ Film Rumored To Begin Production In 2022
With She-Hulk set to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the near future, it appears Marvel Studios still has a place reserved for the Hulk himself. According to Geeks WorldWide, a World War Hulk movie is set to begin production in 2022.
Written by Greg Pak with art by John Romita Jr., World War Hulk was a comic book crossover event published in 2007. The series centered on the Hulk returning to Earth after being exiled to space. After Hulk’s wife is killed on Sakaar, he sets out to get revenge on the Illuminati and wages war on them and other heroes of Earth.

Geeks WorldWide states that according to their sources, the film will begin production in late 2022. They also mentioned that it seems unlikely this will be a complete adaptation of the comic but rather a spin on the overall storyline similar to previous Marvel Studios productions.
The news has come as a bit of a shock for some, considering the complicated film rights of the Hulk. It was previously reported that the character’s film rights were owned by Universal Pictures, which is why the last solo project was The Incredible Hulk in 2008. But this rumored production could mean that Marvel and Disney have reclaimed the rights, and this may be the first of many projects featuring the Hulk.
