First Look At ‘Black Adam’ Star Pierce Brosnan As Doctor Fate Revealed

During DC FanDome, the first official look at Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate was finally revealed. DC debuted a glimpse at the character during their Black Adam panel.
Debuting in More Fun Comics #55 in 1940, Doctor Fate was created by Gardner Fox and Howard Sherman. There have been several individuals to take up the mantle of Doctor Fate, but the most popular version is the original, Kent Nelson. While exploring an ancient temple, Kent discovers the tomb of Nabu the Wise. Kent is trained in the supernatural by Nabu and is given powers by wearing the Helmet of Fate which allows Nabu to possess his body.

The film is set to have Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s character face-off against multiple iterations of the Justice Society of America in a story that promises to change the DC universe’s hierarchy of power. With heroes from Hawkman, Doctor Fate, Cyclone, and Atom Smasher set to appear in the movie, this promises to be one of DC’s most epic installments yet.
