‘The Bad Batch’ Episode 11 Review: The BAD Batch

The Bad Batch episode 11 review contains spoilers for the episode.
We’re back on another Friday with a new episode of The Bad Batch, unfortunately. Episode 11 is sure to go down as the worst episode of the series
I’m not sure where to begin with this episode. Let’s just start with the easy thing to critic, the lack of the Bad Batch. Why is it that in their self-titled show they had maybe two minutes of screentime? The complete lack of their presence in this episode was felt. All this also relays back to a point often made in these reviews, where is the character development? What did we get out of the Bad Batch this week? Nothing, they felt like generic clones, in their own series! That’s just sad.
Rebels is my favourite animated Star Wars project, so if you told me Hera would be featured in an episode I would have been excited. To see that this is the episode she was in, I’m filled with disappointment. How can you take one of the most beloved Star Wars characters and make an episode this bad? It’s beyond me.

As previously mentioned in past reviews, it’s becoming more and more clear this is just to show us how the Bad Batch become rebels. Today’s episode was the clearest example of that. I’m calling it right now, how is Hera going to get off the planet and hide from the Empire? The Bad Batch will save her next week. It’s just sad that this is what the series has come to.
I don’t have much to say on this episode as I’m just so disappointed. My last complaint will be the accents and voice acting in this episode. They must have told the actors in the booth this episode\ just do what you feel like. Someone tried and accent and the others rolled with it.
Sure the music and animation were fine in this episode, but that’s about it. Here’s to next week, it can’t be worse than this week, can it? –Collin Stetzner
