Zoë Kravitz To Make Directorial Debut With ‘Pussy Island’ Starring Channing Tatum
Zoë Kravitz is one of the most well-known names in Hollywood right now. Despite being the daughter of rock legend Lenny Kravitz and A Different World alum Lisa Bonet, the actress has made quite an impressive legacy of her own. Next, as first reported by Deadline, Kravitz will next step behind the camera and make her directing debut.
Per the initial report, the film will be titled Pussy Island. Written by Kravitz herself, alongside E.T. Feigenbaum (High Fidelity), CAA Media Finance will shop the project around at the upcoming Cannes Market. Additionally, Magic Mike star Channing Tatum is on board to appear in the film as its leading man.

Pussy Island follows a young cocktail waitress named Frida. Living in Los Angeles, Frida has her eyes set on a tech mogul billionaire named Slater King, portrayed by Tatum. After skillfully making her way into King’s inner circle, she attends an intimate gather on his private island. However, despite the beautiful setting and gorgeous people around her, Frida senses something terrifying is happening beneath it all.
In a statement accompanying the initial report, Kravitz explains why Tatum was the first choice for her directorial debut. “Chan was my first choice, the one I thought of when I wrote this character,” Kravitz said. “I just knew from Magic Mike and his live shows, I got the sense he’s a true feminist and I wanted to collaborate with someone who was clearly interested in exploring this subject matter.”
