Henry Cavill In Talks To Star In Lionsgate’s ‘Highlander’ Reboot

Star Henry Cavill reportedly has his eyes set on his next big project. According to Deadline, the Man of Steel star is in talks for one of the lead roles in Lionsgate’s Highlander reboot.
Chad Stahelski, director of John Wick, is set to helm the project. Neal H. Moritz and Josh Davis are also signed on to produce the film. Amanda Lewis, Patrick Wachsberger, and Gregory Widen will exec produce.

The original Highlander film is considered a cult classic and spawned four sequels and three television series. Starring Christopher Lambert, Sean Connery, and Clancy Brown, the film followed immortal individuals hunting each other down to grow their own powers.
It is unconfirmed if Cavill will play a new character in the Highlander universe or star as one of the previous characters. The project has been in the works for some time now, with stars from Ryan Reynolds to Justin Lin involved at various points. As of now, though, the plot of the reboot is still unknown.
