The inclusion of the Olympian Pantheon makes sense given Thor: Love and Thunder will feature Gorr the God Butcher. Since the last of the Asgardians are left on Earth, Gorr will need to start his slaughter with a different group of Marvel gods. Given this, it seems likely the film will feature the villain taking on members of these groups, including Crowe’s Zeus.
The fourth film in the Thor franchise sees the return of Natalie Portman as Jane Foster. Additionally, Taika Waititi confirms the actress will also take on Thor’s mantle within the events of the film at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con. Chris Hemsworth will also return as the Son of Odin. Additionally, Ford v. Ferrari star Christian Bale will play Gorr the God Butcher in the film. Moreover, the film will feature the aforementioned Guardians of the Galaxy, Korg, and Jaimie Alexander’s Lady Sif.
