Gabriel Luna Cast As Tommy In HBO’s ‘The Last of Us’ Series

HBO has added another cast member to its upcoming adaptation of The Last of Us. According to Variety, up-and-coming actor, Gabriel Luna, has been cast as Tommy, the brother of the lead character, Joel.
Luna is best known for his roles as Robbie Reyes/Ghost Rider in the hit TV show Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D and as the Terminator in Terminator: Dark Fate. His other credits include Prison Break, True Detective and NCIS: Los Angeles. Luna joins a cast that already includes The Mandalorian’s Pedro Pascal and Game of Thrones’ Bella Ramsey.

Putting the adaptation together for HBO is the creator of Chernobyl, Craig Mazin. He will co-write alongside the game’s director, Neil Duckermann. When asked about Duckermann, Mazin had nothing kind words to say about his collaborator. “Neil Druckmann is without question the finest storyteller working in the video game medium, and The Last of Us is his magnum opus,” he explained. “Getting a chance to adapt this breathtaking work of art has been a dream of mine for years, and I’m so honored to do it in partnership with Neil.”
