‘Ms. Marvel’ Set Footage Features New Look At Kamala Khan’s Costume

New footage from the set of Marvel Studios’ Ms. Marvel series on Disney+ has surfaced online. The new clip features a new look at actress Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan suited up in costume.
The clip seems to feature Vellani’s character getting onto the roof of a house while suited up as Ms. Marvel. The suit in the footage appears to be an early version of her final costume. She will likely don an outfit similar to what she wears in the comics by the end of the series.

Created by G. Willow Wilson, Sana Amanat, Stephen Wacker, Adrian Alphona, and Jamie McKelvie, the character debuted in 2013’s Captain Marvel #14. Khan, a Pakistani American from New Jersey, comes across powers that allow her to have the ability to stretch her body and change her shape. She is also the first Muslim superhero to star in her own titular comic book series. In the comics, Khan is an Inhuman, a race of altered humans experimented on by the Kree.
Hailing from head writer Bisha K. Ali the series will introduce Kamala Khan to the MCU. Ms. Marvel is one of many series Marvel Studios is developing for Disney+ to introduce new characters into the MCU, with the other shows being She-Hulk and Moon Knight. Following their Disney+ debuts, the characters will reportedly move into films and appear alongside other heroes. WandaVision is set to become the first Marvel series to debut on the streaming service when it releases in 2021.
