Universal Pictures has cast some serious stars to lead these projects, such as Ryan Gosling in the upcoming Wolfman movie. It seems they aim to keep this status quo as the studio is interested in Cumberbatch to play the prince of darkness himself, Dracula. There is no word on who the studio is looking at to play Renfield alongside Dracula, but potential casting will hopefully be revealed soon.

There is no confirmation if Universal Pictures has met with Cumberbatch to star in the film as of yet. Based on the casting grid, the studio is simply eyeing the star for the project.
