‘Thor: Love And Thunder’ Will Adapt Jane Foster’s Cancer Storyline

Actress Natalie Portman was revealed that Thor: Love and Thunder will be adapting another element of the comics. In the film, Portman’s Foster will be undergoing cancer treatment.
During an interview with Yahoo, she discussed her new children’s book and other major career moments. She also dropped a few tidbits about Thor: Love and Thunder.
“I can’t tell you that much. I’m really excited. I’m starting to train, to get muscles. If there can be all these female superheroes, the more of them they are, the better it is. I’m trying to think — it’s based on the graphic novel of the Mighty Thor. She’s going through cancer treatment and is a superhero on the side,” said Portman.
It was previously revealed that the Thor franchise’s highly anticipated installment would adapt Jason Aaron’s run on The Mighty Thor, which saw Jane Foster wield Mjolnir. In this run, the character discovered that she had cancer and began undergoing treatment. The issue with this is that when Foster wielded Mjolnir, it purged all of the toxins from her body, including her chemotherapy, prolonging her treatment.
The fourth film in the Thor franchise sees the return of Natalie Portman as Jane Foster. Additionally, Waititi confirms the actress will also take on the mantle of Thor within the events of the film at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con. Chris Hemsworth will also return as the Son of Odin. Additionally, reports claim Ford v. Ferrari star Christian Bale will play an intergalactic villain in the film. Moreover, the film will reportedly feature the Guardians of the Galaxy and Korg as well.
