Iman Vellani To Play Kamala Khan In Disney+’s Ms. Marvel’

Marvel Studios has finally found its Ms. Marvel. According to Deadline, newcomer Iman Vellani has been cast in the title role for the upcoming Disney+ series.
For weeks now, rumors have circulated that a casting announcement was imminent, with many fans speculating who would land the role for some time now. Interestingly, it seems Marvel has gone with an unknown actress to take on the part in the highly anticipated series.
Hailing from head writer Bisha K. Ali the series will introduce Kamala Khan to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This announcement comes on the heels of the She-Hulk casting, where it was confirmed Tatiana Maslany would play Jennifer Walters.

Khan, a Pakistani American from New Jersey, comes across powers that allow her to have the ability to stretch her body and change her shape. She is also the first Muslim superhero to star in her own titular comic book series. In the comics, Khan is an Inhuman, a race of altered humans that were experimented on by the Kree.
Ms. Marvel is one of many series Marvel Studios is developing for Disney+ to introduce new characters into the MCU, with the other shows being She-Hulk and Moon Knight. Following their Disney+ debuts, the characters will reportedly move into films and appear alongside other heroes. WandaVision is set to become the first Marvel series to debut on the streaming service when it releases later this year.
