Doctor Mid-Nite To Have Prominent Role In ‘Stargirl’ Season 2

It seems Starman is not the only member of the Justice Society of America set to return for the sophomore season of Stargirl. According to Lance Ausfresser of the Stargirl Facebook Group, Doctor Mid-Nite will have a prominent role in season two.
Ausfresser reports that there are plans for the real Charles McNider to make his return. Last season the character played an important role in the form of the AI program in the Doctor Mid-Nite goggles worn by Beth Chapel. Unfortunately, they were damaged at the end of the season, leaving Beth without her friend. This is apparently how the real McNider will come into play as he will help Beth fix the goggles and then officially pass the torch to her as the new Doctor Mid-Nite.

Overall it sounds like an exciting way for Beth to grow as a hero given she didn’t have many chances to show her more heroic side this season. Additionally, the idea of more members of the JSA returning is always an exciting prospect since fans only saw some of their feats in the pilot.
