Arnold Schwarzenegger To Star In Spy/Adventure Series In The Works At Skydance

Arnold Schwarzenegger is a name that the world has spent years growing accustomed to. After almost 50 years, the former Governor of California manages to maintain relevance well into his 70s. As first reported by Deadline, Schwarzenegger will, for the first time, headline his own scripted TV series.
The currently untitled series is currently in the early stages of development at Skydance Television. However, per the initial report, the series hails from The Sopranos producer Nick Santora. The filmmaker’s other TV credits include writer and producer gigs on hits like Law & Order, Prison Break, and Jack Reacher. Moreover, the series will reportedly be a global spy adventure with a father and daughter duo at the heart of the story. Arnold Schwarzenegger will star and serve as the show’s executive producer alongside Santora. Moreover, David Ellison (Top Gun: Maverick), Dana Goldberg (Gemini Man), and Skydance President Bill Bost are on-board to produce as well.

Skydance will begin shopping the series to steaming services once casting is complete and the production date is set. Big-name streamers like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime are likely to take notice with Schwarzenegger leading the cast.
Best known for iconic turns in films like The Terminator and True Lies, Schwarzenegger has grossed around $4.5 billion worldwide. Moreover, following a Hollywood hiatus to serve as California’s 38th Governor, the actor made a return to big-budget action in The Expendables and Terminator: Dark Fate.
