  1. I like Stargirl but am getting tired of her team not training and going in without planning or backup and having the s*** kicked out of them.

  2. I’m actually hoping that The Shade fills the same role for Stargirl that he did for Starman Jack Knight in the comics.

I was previously unaware that James Robinson is one of the main writers on Stargirl. Mr Robinson was the writer of the highly acclaimed 75 issue reboot of Starman in the ’90s and made the Shade a huge player in that series.

It was during those 75 issues that the shade went from being a villain to…well not a hero per se, but a pretty solid anti-hero. His morality was shown to be gray at best but he’s a man with a sense of honor and a sense of respect.

I agree. The writers have the Stargirl character acting like a bullheaded idiot most of the time. If they are going for the character being a rebellious teenager, they are overdoing it. If they are trying to show her self confidence, she is coming off more as a vain egomaniac who’s going to get her team killed. That being said I enjoy the show very much. The action and special effects are well done. The acting very good, even among the younger cast. If you want the show to have some believability to it, you need to make her seem more intelligent and have her train a little. Maybe even listen to what Pat has to say instead of rudely interrupting him half the time.
