RUMOR: ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’ Spinoff To Focus On The Bad Batch

Early Wednesday morning, Kessel Run Transmissions reported that a Star Wars: The Clone Wars spinoff was in development. Now, they have clarified that the series will focus on The Bad Batch.
According to the Host of Kessel Run Radio, Noah Outlaw, The Bad Batch will be the main leads of the series. The show will be set after The Siege of Mandalore and will see Hunter, Crosshair, Tech, Wrecker, and Echo return. It seems that The Bad Batch arc in season 7 of Star Wars: The Clone Wars was meant to serve as a back door pilot for this new series.

Captain Rex and Ahsoka are both set to appear in a limited capacity. Also, it seems fans won’t have to wait long for the show as Outlaw claims production is far along with it expected to premiere in 2021.
It is unknown if Dave Filoni will be involved in the series, but it seems several individuals involved with Star Wars: The Clone Wars will be working on the spinoff. It seems likely the series would have been announced at Star Wars Celebration, but given it was canceled, its possible fans could hear something later this summer. However, it should be noted that as of now, this remains a rumor until Lucasfilms or Disney is able to confirm the report.
