Hercules To Reportedly Appear In An Upcoming MCU Project

Marvel Studios may be looking to add an Olympian to its roster of heroes. According to The Cinema Spot, Hercules will appear in an upcoming MCU project.
Adapted by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1965, Hercules’ first formal appearance was in Journey into Mystery #1. Based on the ancient Greek hero Heracles, the hero has regularly appeared in Marvel comics alongside Thor, Hulk, and other Avengers. Hercules has even served as a member of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
It was previously rumored that the character would debut in Eternals, but that has since been debunked. As of now, there is no word on when fans can expect to see Hercules appear. Though, some have theorized the Olympian could appear in Thor: Love and Thunder before getting his own franchise. Marvel has recently relaunched the Olympians in the comics, so it seems the company has an interest in the character.

There is no word yet on who could portray Hercules in the Marvel Universe, but fans have suggested a number of actors, for instance, many have petitioned for Luke Evans or Joe Manganiello to take on the role. For now, though, these are nothing more than fancasts, but at least Marvel fans can look forward to finally seeing the character in live-action.
