Following in the footsteps of Harry Potter [again] the Twilight franchise will be doing a prequel. The film is scheduled to come out in 2023.

Not much is known about the upcoming film at this time. The author of the series, Stephenie Meyer, has teased a gritty, frontier film focused on the founding of Forks, Washington. The film is said to be more “non-fiction” than mystical unlike the original series.

It’s unknown if any actors from the original series will return but Lautner isn’t doing much so he’s essentially a lock.
