‘The Umbrella Academy’ Reportedly Renewed For Season 3

UPDATE: A new report from The Hollywood Reporter confirms that season three of The Umbrella Academy is a go at Netflix. Production on the series will begin in February in Toronto.
Netflix is reportedly moving forward with the third season of the fan-favorite series. According to the Writers Guild of America, The Umbrella Academy has been renewed for a third season.
The WGA also revealed that Lauren Otero and Elizabeth Padden have joined the writing team for the third season. Otero has previously worked on Girl Metts World and the Amazing Undone while Padden is known for Future Man.

The second season of the series is yet to release, but it seems the streaming service is excited to move forward with the show. Netflix is yet to officially announce the series renewal, but they will most likely do so following the premiere of season 2. However, Netflix has been known to announce early renewals in the past, such as with The Witcher.
