‘Titans’: Barbara Gordon Confirmed For Season 3 Premiere

After several rumors, Barbara Gordon is now officially being introduced in DC Universe’s Titans Season 3 in the very first episode.
During a Q&A with fellow Titans cinematographer Brendan Steacy, Boris Mojsovski confirmed the reports that Barbara Gordon would make her debut on the DC Universe series in the upcoming third season. In addition to the former Batgirl, he revealed that Iain Glen’s Bruce Wayne would return after making his debut as the Caped Crusader last season.
On top of that, he teased audiences will be brought back to Gotham in the opening installment of Season 3, where they’ll introduce Barbara Gordon for the first time. A completely new set will be built, seemingly for Oracle, and they’re attempting to replicate Gotham aesthetic realized in the Season 1 finale.

Although the show’s production has been delayed indefinitely due to the pandemic, it can be expected to begin sometime later this year. Despite the delay, work is still being done on the series and now they have more time to flesh out the upcoming season.

First appearing in Detective Comics #359, Barabra Gordon is the daughter of Gotham City police commissioner James Gordon and a prominent member of the Bat-Family. She fought alongside Batman and Co. for years as Batgirl, until the Joker severely injured her spine, making her a paraplegic and forcing her to fight a crime a different way. Known as Oracle, Gordon provided intelligence and computer hacking services to assist her fellow superheroes, eventually becoming a founding member of the Birds of Prey.
