RUMOR: Atlantis Will Appear In Marvel Studios’ ‘Eternals’

Marvel Studios’ Eternals is set to take place over 35,000 years past, and it seems it could feature some critical moments in history. According to MCU Cosmic, Atlantis will appear in the film.
The rumor states that at some point in the film, fans will see the sinking of Atlantis on screen, perhaps in some form of montage.
It has long been rumored that both Atlantis and its most famous resident Namor would join the MCU. The ancient city was first hinted at in 2010’s Iron Man 2, and some fans have speculated it was most recently referenced in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame.

Namor the Sub-Mariner, is rumored to serve as the antagonist of 2022’s Black Panther II. By introducing the city of Atlantis in Eternals, this would then open the door to its king facing off against the king of Wakanda. It has also been rumored that the film will also feature Doctor Doom, the leader of Latveria and frequent antagonist for the Fantastic Four, facing off against Black Panther and Namor.
For now, this remains nothing more than a rumor and should be taken with a grain of salt. Nonetheless, it is exciting to think the MCU will finally introduce the Atlantis.
