RUMOR: The Squadron Supreme To Appear In Marvel Studios’ ‘Loki’

Updated: Daniel Richtman has since confirmed on his Patreon that some of the Squadron Supreme will indeed appear in Loki. According to the insider, only a few members of the team will be featured in the Disney+ series.
A new report claims that Marvel Studios’ Loki will be introducing another superhero team to the MCU. According to Bleeding Cool, the series may feature the debut of the Squadron Supreme.
Numerous rumors have circled Tom Hiddleston’s first solo outing in the MCU, including that it may involve both the Time Variance Authority and Kang the Conquerer. But this new rumor should be very exciting for fans of the classic team.
Created by Roy Thomas and John Buscema in 1971, The Squadron Supreme debuted in The Avengers #85. This version of the team was derived from an earlier villainous group, the Squadron Sinister. With core members Hyperion, Nighthawk, Doctor Spectrum, Power Princess, and the Whizzer inspired by DC characters, the team serves as a stand-in for the Justice League.

Bleeding Cool reports that the production team for Loki has been ordering material for the show that all relate to the group. MCU Cosmic also noted that a producer of the show purchased a Squadron Supreme trade paperback in a comic book store.
As of now, this rumor should be taken with a grain of However, based on what is known about the series, their appearance would make sense. Loki is rumored to feature Hiddleston’s God of Mischief traveling through time and space so the show could feature them as an alternate version of the Avengers.
