‘The Suicide Squad’ Set Photos Showcase Idris Elba’s Vigilante

This morning, the first look at Idris Elba’s Vigilante was revealed via leaked set footage. Now, new photos have surfaced featuring the actor in action. The new images showcase Elba’s character scaling an unknown building. As with the previous photos, the actor is not wearing a super-suit of any kind; instead, he can be seen in civilian attire.
As of now, it is currently unclear why Elba’s character is attempting to climb up the building in these images. The Suicide Squad has been filming for some time now, so this scene presumably takes place around the middle or end of the movie. The actor is reportedly playing the character Vigilante, alongside fellow stars Margot Robbie, Viola Davis and John Cena. Elba’s Vigilante will join many other DC characters as members of Amanda Waller’s Task Force X.

The plot of James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad has remained mostly under wraps with much of the film still a mystery. A number of the stars’ roles remain unconfirmed. As filming nears the end, fans can be hopeful they will soon learn more about the highly anticipated entry in the DC Universe.

The film stars Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, David Dastmalchian as Polka Dot Man, John Cena as Peacemaker, Daniela Melchior as Ratcatcher with Idris Elba, Peter Capaldi and Storm Reid in undisclosed roles.
