Another Valkyrie Is Rumored To Appear In An Upcoming MCU Project

When Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie was introduced in Marvel Studios’ Thor: Ragnarok, she instantly became a fan-favorite character. Now it seems a new Valkyrie may be introduced in an upcoming MCU project.
In Thor: Ragnarok Valkyrie explained that she was the last of the elite Asgardian warriors after they were wiped out by Hela. But according to MCU Cosmic, a new Valkyrie may be joining the MCU very soon as Marvel is planning on using the character Mist in the near future.
Created by Chris Claremont, Art Adams, and Terry Austin in 1985, Mist first appeared in New Mutants Special Edition #1. The heroine has often been portrayed as a close friend of the mutant Danielle Moonstar and has faced off against the likes of Hela and Loki in the comics. Like her fellow Valkyrie, Mist is a skilled swordsman and warrior possessing enhanced strength and durability. The hero is special in that she is also part fairy granting her resistance to magic.

Based on MCU Cosmic’s report, it is likely that Mist will appear in a Thor related project such as the Diseny+ series Loki or Thor: Love and Thunder. Marvel introducing a new Valkyrie after establishing Thompson’s character as the last of her people could mean Mist will play a significant role moving forward. This also begs the question of where she has been all this time and how she survived the battle with Hela.
