Marvel Studios kept much of the plot of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier close to the vest, but things were bound to leak eventually. New set photos potentially reveal an iconic Marvel Comics location that will appear in the Disney+ series.
The image, which comes to us via Luke Hatcher on Twitter, shows the set of the series, with what appears to be a Madripoor flag visible in the background. Based on this, Sebastian Stan’s Bucky and Anthony Mackie’s Sam may visit the fictional island at some point during the events of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

In the pages of Marvel Comics, Madripoor is a haven for the criminal world. Given that Daniel Brühl’s Baron Zemo is returning, this could suggest he will lead the heroes to the island. Beyond this, how the location will come into play remains a mystery, but the reason for its involvement is sure to be revealed soon.
