Daniel Radcliffe Being Considered For Titular Role In ‘Moon Knight’

Casting for Marvel Studio’s upcoming Moon Knight may soon be underway. Daniel Radcliffe is one of the actors Kevin Feige and Co. are considering for the role of Marc Spector in the upcoming Disney+ series, Full Circle Cinema has learned.
Since Feige announced at the D23 EXPO that Marvel Studios was developing a live-action Moon Knight series, Radcliffe has been one of the names fans have pushed for to be in consideration for the titular role. The British actor is best known for his role in the insanely popular Harry Potter film series. His other credits include Swiss Army Man, Now You See Me 2, and The Woman in Black.
Making his debut in 1975, Marc Spector is a Jewish-American, born in Chicago, Illinois. As an adult, Spector decides to give up being a Marine to become a mercenary. While on a mission in Egypt, Spector is left for dead after losing a fight to Raoul Bushman. He’s found by a group of Egyptians who take him to an ancient temple that houses a statue of the moon god Khonshu. As Spector fights for his life, the god appears to him, offering him a second chance at life.

Reports claim that Marvel Studios is searching for a Jewish actor to portray Spector and Radcliffe fulfills this requirement. His mother is Jewish, and he’s been vocal in the past about his heritage being a central part of his identity.
