‘Venom 2’ Set Photo Reveals Classic Carnage Location

Tom Hardy is currently filming the sequel to Sony’s Spider-Man spinoff, Venom. The actor took some time to post a few images from the set, one of which featured an iconic Carnage location.
The photos Hardy posted to his social media have since been deleted, but a few accounts reposted them. Of the two pictures posted, the first is a look at Andy Serkis directing from the set of Venom 2. While this is an excellent look at the behind the scenes of the film, it is not as exciting as the second image.
The second image features a sign bearing the name of St. Estes Home for Boys, a name comic fans will recognize. St. Estes was the estate where Cletus Kasady was raised as a child until it “mysteriously” burned down. When the criminal eventually became Carnage, he and Spider-Man fought in the estate for the first time.

While this could suggest fans will see some flashbacks to the origin story of Kasady, the fact the sign is old and rusted could point to a present-day setting. Most likely, the film will alter the story from the comics and have Venom take Peter Parker’s place in the confrontation.
