‘Frozen 2’ Breaks Opening Weekend Records With $350 Million Worldwide

The sequel to one of the greatest films in Disney’s catalog is well on its way to breaking all-time records. According to Forbes, Frozen 2 has earned an earth-shattering $350 Million in its first 4 days, worldwide.
The highly anticipated sequel garnered $127 million domestically with a total of $350.2 million worldwide, within just days of its launch. This is a record global opening for an animated film. Moreover, this accomplishment tops Incredibles 2’s $242 million worldwide premiere. China, which is always a top buyer for the Disney market contributed $55 million to the film’s opening. At this time, given the serious lack of competition until Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, it looks like Frozen 2 will either match or exceed the first film’s worldwide gross of $1.276 billion.

For the sake of argument, Frozen 2 falls behind both Incredibles 2 and Finding Dory as the third-biggest animated premiere of all time in the continent of North America. It anything, this means fans are consistently eager to check out sequels to Disney classics, regardless of how long it takes for them to come out.
Set three years after the events of the first film, Frozen 2 follows Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven who embark on a journey beyond their kingdom of Arendelle in order to discover the origin of Elsa’s magical powers and save their kingdom after a mysterious voice calls out to Elsa.
