‘Shang-Chi’: Audition Tape For Steel-Claw May Reveal Plot Details

It was recently reported that Marvel Studios is casting additional villains for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The report claims one of the characters is Steel-Claw, but it is assumed this name could be a place holder for Tiger-Claw. Now, an audition tape may have revealed some new details about the character and the film’s plot.
The tape in question, which features The Dead Lands star Te Kohe Tuhaka auditioning, is for the character Steel-Claw. The clip appears to reveal some interesting plot details about the film’s titular hero. Check it out below:
In the video, Steel Claw is talking to someone that we assume is Simu Lui’s Shang-Chi. The martial artist says he has heard a lot about him and describes him as “the wonder boy who ran away.” It seems that the Master of Kung-Fu has run away from his father, The Mandarin, and Steel-Claw has come to bring him home. The audition tape ends with the villain sending his troops to track down the hero.

Based on the actor’s young appearance, it seems most likely that Steel-Claw is a version of Tiger-Claw, an adversary of the Master of Kung Fu in the pages of Marvel Comics. The clip suggests that the character will be working for The Mandarin in some regard, and it isn’t too far fetched to assume the other recently revealed villainous roles will be aswell.
