Vin Diesel Reportedly Being Eyed For Inhuman Role In ‘Ms. Marvel’

Vin Diesel could be in line for a role he’s been coveting for a long time. According to Thomas Polito at The Geeks WorldWide, the Fast & Furious star is being eyed for a member of the Inhuman Royal Family in Disney+’s Ms. Marvel.
Per Polito, Diesel is up for the role of Black Bolt, the ruler of the Inhumans, a reclusive race of genetically altered superhumans. Two years ago, the character made his live-action debut in ABC’s Inhumans, played by Star Trek: Discovery star Anson Mount. Marvel is reportedly looking to strike that series from canon as they plan to reboot the characters on Disney+.
Diesel has been campaigning to play the king of the Inhumans since a movie version of the property was still on the MCU slate. Given that his role as Groot in the franchise is voice only, Marvel Studios may want to give him a shot at the character he’s always wanted to play.

Another name said to be in the running for a part in the Inhuman Royal Family is Kick-Ass star Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Kevin Feige and co. are said to want him for Maximus, the brother of Black Bolt and antagonist to the Inhumans. Taylor-Johnson is no stranger to the MCU as he played Pietro Maximoff, aka Quicksilver, in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Bisha K. Ali, best known for her work as a writer on Hulu’s Four Weddings and a Funeral remake, will serve as showrunner for Ms. Marvel. With Ali in the fold, casting is sure to begin shortly. Marvel is currently looking for an unknown actor to bring Kamala Khan to life on Disney+.
