‘Hawkeye’ Disney+ Series Finds Its Writer In ‘Mad Men’ Scribe Jonathan Igla

Marvel Studios has found its writer for one of their upcoming Disney+ series in 2021. According to THR, Jonathan Igla, best known for writing Mad Men on AMC, will be penning the script for Hawkeye.
With Igla creating the story, we move closer to seeing Jeremy Renner return as Clint Barton in the titular role. Barton is expected to take on a protege in the Disney+ series. The protege could potentially take over the role of Hawkeye long term in the Marvel Cinematic Universe going forward.
Igla’s previous television credits also include Masters of Sex, Pitch, and Shut Eye. In addition to writing Hawkeye, he will act as executive producer on the upcoming project.

The Disney+ series will feature the introduction of Kate Bishop in Phase 4 of the MCU. It will be interesting to see whether Bishop will join the Avengers as the new Hawkeye in the future of the MCU. The series will premiere during the fall of 2021.
