‘Midsommar’ Star Will Poulter Joins Cast Of Amazon’s ‘Lord Of The Rings’ Series

As first reported by Variety, Will Poulter has been cast in a leading role in Amazon’s upcoming Lord of the Rings series.
Best known for his recent roles in Midsommar and Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, Poulter has been quietly building quite the acting resume for years. His versatility allows him to take on both comedic and dramatic roles.
While it is not yet known who he will play it is reported that he is one of the show’s leads. He could either be a dwarf, a hobbit, an elf, or a wizard. The series has been in pre-production for a while now but Amazon is working to develop a memorable adaptation. The original Lord of the Rings films, including The Hobbit franchise, were both commercial and critical successes.
Not much is known of the plot for the series. However, it has been rumored that much of the story will precede the events of The Fellowship of the Ring. There is a large gap in-between that book and The Hobbit, so it will be interesting to see where the story goes.
