‘A Simple Favor’ Star Anna Kendrick To Star In Crime Thriller ‘Unsound’

A Simple Favor star Anna Kendrick has landed her next role. She will star in the independent crime thriller Unsound.
According to Deadline, Kendrick will play a New England state trooper who faces difficulties with losing her hearing while working a prison break case. While investigating deeper into the case, Kendrick will stumble upon a life-threatening conspiracy that will threaten her career and life.
Bharat Nalluri, best known for his work on Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day, is set to direct. Matthew Ross and Christopher Edwards wrote the screenplay. Showkat productions will team up with Untapped and XYZ to produce the film. The film will make its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival later this year.
Kendrick has kept busy as she recently wrapped up shooting for the science fiction thriller Stowaway. She has since moved onto production of a limited series, Love Life, for HBO Max. Kendrick will not only star, but also executive produce the limited series.
Later this year, Kendrick will appear on the big screen at least two more times. She will star in Christopher Morris’ This Day Shall Come and Disney+’s Christmas comedy Noelle, as Santa’s daughter in the titular role.
