‘Lizzie McGuire’ Sequel Series Starring Hillary Duff Coming To Disney+

As first reported by Deadline, Disney is currently developing a sequel series to the wildly popular Lizzie McGuire.
With Hillary Duff set to reprise her role as the titular character, the new series will premiere on the Disney+ streaming service.
In addition to Duff, the show’s creator Terri Minsky is also returning as showrunner.
The new adventure will focus on Duff as a 30-year old millennial trying to find her way in New York City. Fans of the original sitcom will be glad to hear that the animated version of Lizzie is also set to reveal what the character is really thinking.
The original series aired for four seasons on Disney Channel. It was about the upbringing of a teenager and her friends in the suburbs. At one point, it was the channel’s highest-rated show.
This news is the second Disney Channel original to get a new spin for Disney+. High School Musical is set to receive its own series when the streaming service is launched.
