As first reported by THR, Priyanka Chopra and Christian Slater are teaming up for a superhero movie for Netflix.
Directed by Robert Rodriguez (Alita: Battle Angel), We Can Be Heroes will debut on the streaming service. The plot features a group of alien invaders kidnapping Earth’s superheroes, leaving their children to team up to save their parents and the world.
Along with Chopra and Slater, the film touts a stellar ensemble cast as well. Netflix has confirmed that YaYa Gosselin, Akira Akbar, Andrew Diaz, Andy Walken, Boyd Holbrook, Hala Finley, Isaiah Russell-Bailey, Lotus Blossom, Lyon Daniels, Nathan Blair, Sung Kang, Vivien Lyra Blair, Adriana Barraza, Christopher McDonald, and Pedro Pascal have also joined the fray.
Additionally, the film will be produced by Rodriguez’s Quick Draw Productions.
The film will draw inspiration from Rodriguez’s Spy Kids film. The kids step in to save the day for the parents. This will be Chopra’s first superhero film after fans have clamored to see her don a cape and cowl.
