Joe Manganiello Wants To Play Kraven The Hunter In The MCU

While on the Lights Camera Barstool podcast, actor Joe Manganiello expressed interest in joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He revealed his dream role would be to play Kraven the Hunter.
Manganiello goes on to talk about how one of his favorite all-time comic book stories involves Kraven the Hunter and Spider-Man:
“As a comic book reader, one of my favorite, favorite comic book stories of all time that is so dark and twisted, and unique is Kraven’s Last Hunt. That one is maddening. It’s insane. What an amazing ending and great turn. They’re going to have to make that. It’s too good of a story not to tell.”
It is unknown if Kraven will cross paths with Spider-Man in the MCU. Sony is currently working on developing a Kraven solo movie that would be separate. Check out what the actor had to say about the potential development and whether if he would want to play him:
“Well you have to have him crossover at some point because ‘Kraven’s Last Hunt’ is too good a piece of material to [pass up]. You kidding me? That would be a dream role.”

Manganiello is no stranger to Spider-Man films as he played the first live-action Flash Thompson in the Raimi trilogy. Tony Revolori currently portrays a much different version of that character in the MCU.
Manganiello’s last comic book role didn’t last very long after playing the famous assassin known as Deathstroke in the DCEU. He appeared in a post-credit scene in Justice League, but since then talks of his rumored solo film have died down. While it’s possible we may never see more of Manganiello’s take as Slade Wilson on the big screen, he’s making himself available for Kraven. You can check out the rest of the interview here.
