‘It’ Director Andy Muschietti In Talks To Direct Solo ‘Flash’ Movie

Have you been wondering what’s going on with Ezra Miller’s Flash movie? Well today is your lucky day! We finally have some good news regarding the fastest man alive.
In 2017 Andy Muschietti threw himself into the spotlight with his adaptation of It. Not only does he have the sequel coming out this year, but THR reports that he is now a frontrunner for director of the Flash. Bumblebee and Birds of Prey writer Christina Hodson will pen the script. This is the third time DC has relied on a horror film director, the firsts being James Wan and David F. Sandberg.
John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein were originally attached to write and direct the film, but their drafts must have not been what DC wanted. However, Ezra Miller is still in to play the hero! There was a moment where it seemed as if he was out as Flash, but apparently not! The goal of all of this is to have the film in prep by January 2020.
Let it be known that none of this has been set in stone. Obviously things can change from now until then. Goldstein and Daley’s exit is voluntary, with months of creative differences likely contributing to this decision. A couple months ago it broke that Miller would try writing the script with Grant Morrison but that seemed to fall through as well.
If you’re a fan of It, then this is good news. Hopefully it all works out and we can finally get the Flash movie we all deserve. What are your thoughts on DC’s decision? Let us know in the comments below!
