Disney’s ‘The Lion King’ Soundtrack Will Feature New Elton John Music

Fans have been waiting anxiously to see Jon Favreau’s next film, The Lion King. The original film has one of the most iconic soundtracks in film history. The new film will have all your favorite music, but there will be some new music as well.
This morning Disney has announced that tickets for the film have gone on sale. They also dropped some news on the soundtrack set to release on July 11th. Any fan scouring the list of songs will come across some unfamiliar ones. Never Too Late is one of the new additions to the new soundtrack. Elton John wrote it and performs it with an African orchestra.
No need to fret though, the rest of the music in the film will instantly take you back to your childhood. Hans Zimmer is even coming back to score the film. Favreau summed up The Lion King music perfectly. He said:
Just hearing that music strikes you deeply, even if you don’t know the film or stage show, there is a spiritual strength in it. But if you know the film, and if you grew up with this music — now it can suddenly and immediately evoke the story itself, as well as all the connected memories and emotions that you have from your own past experience with The Lion King, or from the time of your life that you were in, or your childhood, or the life events it’s connected to.
