Marvel’s Black Widow has just added another member to its expanding cast.
Best known for his role in Martin Scorsese’s The Departed, Ray Winstone has just officially joined the MCU. Alongside Winstone are Florence Pugh (Midsommar) and David Harbour (Strangers Things), as well as Scarlett Johansson taking the lead as the iconic Black Widow once again. No plot details have been announced nor leaked, but it is to be assumed from the consequences of Avengers: Endgame that this will be a prequel in the form of an origins story.
Production has officially begun in London this year and is set to be directed by Cate Shortland. A release date for the film is initially said to be 2020, tentatively.
