Marvel Studios Reportedly Targeting 2022 Release For ‘Fantastic Four’ Reboot

It looks like the Fantastic Four could be joining the MCU sooner than expected. According to a report from The GWW, Marvel Studios is targeting a 2022 release date for their reboot of Marvel’s First Family.
The report also claims that Ant-Man director Peyton Reed has been pushing to direct the reboot. Reed has already pitched his vision for the film on multiple occasions to Kevin Feige, which reportedly includes a 1960s setting and ties to the Quantum Realm.
For now, it should be noted this is just a rumor and that we will ultimately have to wait for official word from Marvel later this year. It was believed by some that we wouldn’t see any of the Fox acquired characters until post-Phase 4, but this rumor seems to refute that.
Neither Marvel nor Reed have commented on this story so we are still waiting on further confirmation. It should be noted, however, that the source of this rumor has been very reliable in the past so we are led to believe its validity. And you can be sure we at Full Circle will keep you updated on any developments with the story.
