Keanu Reeves In Negotiations For A Role In ‘The Eternals’

It appears that another A-list star could be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to MCU Cosmic’s Jeremy Conrad, Keanu Reeves is up for a role in Chloe Zhao’s The Eternals.
Conrad claims that Reeves is already in negotiations with Marvel Studios for a role in their next major franchise. At this point, it’s unclear what character Kevin Feige and co. could be courting the 54-year-old actor for, but some potential options include Gilgamesh and Druig.
Reeves is best known for his roles in the John Wick franchise and as Neo in The Matrix trilogy. His other credits include Constantine, Speed, Point Break, and Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure. Later this year, Reeves will voice Duke Kaboom, a Canadian stuntman toy, in Toy Story 4.

Earlier this year, information surfaced that claimed Reeves was, at one point, attached to play Yon-Rogg in Captain Marvel, but had to drop out due to a scheduling conflict with John Wick: Chapter 3. If that is the case, Marvel Studios has seemingly circled back to the actor with the hope of once again getting him involved in the MCU.
