Joel Kinnaman Confirms His Involvement In ‘The Suicide Squad’

Another member of Task Force X has confirmed their return. Joel Kinnaman took to Instagram to announce that he will reprise his role as Colonel Rick Flag in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad.
Kinnaman will join Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, and Jai Courtney as actors from 2016s Suicide Squad to reprise their roles for James Gunn’s spiritual sequel. The returning cast members will have fresh blood added to their ranks as David Dastmalchian (Ant-Man), John Cena (Bumblebee), Idris Elba (Thor), and newcomer Daniela Melchior have all signed onto the film.

Born in Sweden, Kinnaman didn’t make a name for himself in the United States until he landed a role in David Fincher’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. From there he would appear in such films as Robocop and Run All Night. Later this year, Kinnaman will appear alongside Rosamund Pike in the British crime thriller The Informer.
