Matt Reeves’ ‘The Batman’ Will Reportedly Begin Production In December

We may have our first look at the new Caped Crusader sooner than you think. According to our friends at Discussing Film, Matt Reeves’ The Batman will begin shooting December 9th.
Just last week, Reeves took to Twitter to announce that his next film was going to begin filming before the year was over, leaving many to speculate a fall or winter start date. It didn’t take long for DF to track down a specific day, and if their information is indeed accurate, it bodes well for a casting announcement sometime in the foreseeable future.

Several rumors have taken the internet by storm, claiming that a certain actor was in talks for the part, but they’ve all been more or less unfounded. It’s safe to assume that casting for the film will ramp up in the summer as Reeves and co. dive headfirst into pre-production.
