Jordan Vogt-Roberts To Direct Original Monster Film Starring Michael B. Jordan

Kong: Skull Island filmmaker Jordan Vogt-Roberts is heading into familiar territory for an upcoming project. According to THR, Vogt-Roberts is developing a monster flick starring Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan.
Based on an original idea from Vogt-Roberts, the film will be set in his hometown Detroit and involve (presumably) evil creatures. He has been an advocate in getting productions running in his city and plans to do so with this project. He is planning to direct and also produce alongside Michael B. Jordan. New Regency (Bohemian Rhapsody) will also produce and finance. They are currently looking to hire a screenwriter to tackle the story.
Ever since the filmmaker made waves with Kong: Skull Island, people have been waiting on his adaptation of the Metal Gear Solid video game series. It is not clear whether or not this new project precedes that but we will update as soon as new information arrives.
