Rhys Darby To Return For ‘Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle’ Sequel

WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE! EVERYONE’S COMING BAAAACK! YOU LIKE KEVIN HART AND THE ROCK? WELL, WE GOT RHYS DARBY! According to Deadline, “Nigel The Player Guide” from Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle will be returning to walk the players (and audience) through the rules of the sequel.
The sequel to Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle is currently in production with the “original four” (Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, and Jack Black) returning. Rhys Darby, who portrayed the Player Guide “Nigel” in the original film, is making a return. The character, whose sole purpose was to explain the plot of the game to the body-swapped teenagers, was one of the memorable highlights that made that film work so well. At this point in time, it’s still unclear what the plot, or even the title, of this new film, actually is. But I’m sure we’ll get an entertaining explanation to what the plot of the “game” is by Rhys Darby.
Along with the main stars of the film, we’ll also see the return of Nick Jonas along with the four teenagers, Madison Iseman, Morgan Turner, Ser’Darius Blain, and Alex Wolff, who get sucked into “Jumanji.” We’ll also be getting new characters played by Danny DeVito (YES!), Danny Glover and Awkwafina.
