‘Star Wars: Episode IX’ Footage Description Surfaces

The next chapter in a galaxy far, far away is set to arrive this December, bringing the Skywalker saga to an epic and hopefully satisfying conclusion. While we still don’t have an official title, we do have a brief description of some footage shown at a Disney shareholders meeting, courtesy of Twitter user Scott Ladewig.
During today’s meeting, Disney discussed their eventual plans for their streaming service, the Fox deal, and everything happening in the House of Mouse’s immediate future. CEO Bob Iger even brought footage from some of Disney’s upcoming films, including Avengers: Endgame, The Lion King, and Star Wars: Episode IX.
As mentioned above, Twitter user Scott Ladewig was kind enough to give his followers a rundown of what he saw, and it sounds as if JJ Abrams’ return to Star Wars will be something quite special. Be warned, what follows could be regarded as mild spoilers for some…
“An explosion knocks back a group of Stormtroopers in a massive starship hangar. Finn can be seen standing in an abandoned starship interior. Kylo Ren stands in a bright white room, admiring Darth Vader’s helmet. Rey, Finn, and Poe can be seen in the Millenium Falcon’s cockpit, and there’s a brief shot of Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian. Rey holds Chewbacca’s iconic bowcaster, and walks through a marketplace filled with alien creatures.”
We’re likely to get a title and even the first trailer for Episode IX come Star Wars Celebration next month, along with other surprises Lucasfilm might have in store.
