Steven Spielberg Developing New Sci-Fi Film Eyeing Tom Cruise

Steven Spielberg is reportedly looking to tap some serious star power for an upcoming film. According to insider Daniel Richtman, Spielberg is eyeing Tom Cruise to star in an original sci-fi project currently titled Nomad.
Richtman did not reveal any further details about the project other than the title and its potential star. This would be the duo’s third film together, as they previously worked together on 2002’s Minority Report and 2005’s War of the Worlds.

Spielberg most recently directed the Academy Award-nominated feature film The Fabelmans, which was loosely based on his own life as a young filmmaker. In addition to Nomad, his upcoming projects include an original movie based on the Steve McQueen character Frank Bullitt.
Cruise is set to star in this year’s Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. His upcoming films include Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two and the untitled Doug Liman film, which will film in space.
