New details about the villain of Sony’s upcoming Madame Web have been revealed. According to insider Daniel Richtman, Tahar Rahim will portray the character Ezekiel Sims in the film.
Created by J. Michael Straczynski and John Romita Jr. in 2001, the character debuted in The Amazing Spider-Man #30. A wealthy businessman, Ezekiel gained spider-like powers of his own in a ritual. He manipulated Spider-Man into dealing with the consequences of his ritual and tried to sacrifice the hero.

The movie stars Dakota Johnson in the titular role. Additional stars include Sydney Sweeney, Emma Roberts, Adam Scott, Isabella Merced, Mike Epps, and Celeste O’Connor.
Jessica Jones director S.J. Clarkson is on board to helm the film with a script by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless (The Last Witch Hunter). Sony Pictures will produce the feature in conjunction with Marvel Entertainment as the latest film in the Sony Spider-Man Universe.
