‘The Sandman’ Photo Shows First Look At Kirby Howell-Baptiste As Death

Since Netflix announced the cast of their live-action adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman, fans have been hoping to catch a look at them on set. And Thursday afternoon, the first look at Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Death was revealed via a new set photo.
As fans can see in the image below, Howell-Baptiste’s Death looks like she was pulled from the comic. She is sporting the classic outfit worn in Gaiman’s work and appears true to the character.

The Sandman series was given an 11 episode order from Warner Bros. and Netflix. Gaiman is set to executive produce with David S. Goyer and writer/showrunner Allan Heinberg. Production on the series was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which luckily gave the creative team time to perfect the scripts. Thankfully though, production on the highly anticipated series is finally underway.
