Yet another series from Rick Riordan is set to get its own adaptation. Riordan revealed on his official website Saturday that a series of feature films based on The Kane Chronicles is in the works at Netflix.
The Kane Chronicles is a trilogy of books focused on Egyptian mythology. Set in the same universe as Riordan’s Percy Jackson series, the story follows Carter and Sadie Kane. Descended from ancient pharaohs, the Kanes are powerful magicians who interact with ancient Egyptian gods and monsters that still roam the modern world.

Riordan revealed on his website that the deal has been in the works since last October, which is about the same time they started work on the Percy Jackson series at Disney+. The films are still in very early development, so it seems likely it will be some time before any casting or creative decisions are announced.
