‘Doom Patrol’ Season 2 To Premiere On HBO Max

DC Universe may lose exclusive access to one of its greatest assets. WarnerMedia has just announced that the second season of Doom Patrol will hit their upcoming streaming service, HBO Max, next year.

After becoming a smash-hit on the DC Universe streaming service, the series will now also air on HBO Max when it releases May 2020. The move arrives amidst speculation that shows on the DCU would move to Max, but it seems Stargirl and Titans will stay put for now. The company announced the news during their WarnerMedia Day live event.

As we reported earlier this year, the second season of Doom Patrol will begin production this November. DC Universe confirmed Season Two of the series was in the works at SDCC International a few months ago.

  1. I’m not happy about this hbo thing at all. I have DCU and not sure if I want to spend more money on another streaming service.

    1. It’ll be available on both services as of right now

    2. Clearly you didn’t read the damn article. Says it’ll also be on HBO max…

  2. I already have hbo go, Amazon prime, and Netflix. I also have access to showtime because of a friend, and Hulu because of my brother in law but that’s only as long as they decide to keep them and allow me to piggy back. All these separate streaming services are getting out of hand, especially when they only have a handful of shows at best that I really care for. Hbo kept me after thrones only because of Chernobyl, then Succession and now Catherine the great, they know how to keep you coming back but I’m getting fed up. On top of that a lot of these shows are just getting increasingly derivative. I’ve heard Doom Patrol is good but I just can’t man, in a few years there will only be another 10 separate streaming content providers, I’m going to have to take out a second mortgage to keep up with this bs.

  3. […] site Full Circle Cinema, a decisão de mudar alguns títulos para HBO MAX surgiu em uma reunião da Warner. O anuncio veio […]

  4. I backed DC Universe and first Swamp Thing gets cancelled and now another streaming service is coming and may offer other shows I may have to spend to view. I’ve actually held off on renewing my DC Universe subscription another year because of it’s uncertainty.

    1. You’ll still be able to watch the second season on DCU as of right now
